Two independent HVAC contractors were consulted, who agreed on the problem's existence but couldn't find the cause. Both recommended replacing the furnace, a solution Fischer & Frichtel agreed to and fully reimbursed the customer for. Another customer had a great experience with Heather at the design center. Despite initial difficulties with pricing, Heather was knowledgeable and patient, spending her off-day to help the customer get the right house price. Greg, a sales representative, and Chris, a project manager, were highlighted for their patience and knowledge throughout the building process. Customers appreciate Fischer & Frichtel's well-designed and constructed houses and their hard work to address and fix unavoidable "oops" and "uh, oh" issues in new construction. It is not often that one leaves the equivalent of a Google review in a year end summary Christmas card. But my wife and I felt strongly enough about the great support we received from Fischer-Frichtel, for addressing our significant homeowners issues, that we did just that.
The background is that we moved into a Fischer-Frichtel 6-year-old villa in late July, 2025. While the villa is relatively small, one of the big selling points was a large, beautifully finished basement. This was an important item for our extended large family gatherings. Our villa was very well built and customer service has been very good. However the interior paint is of poor quality. It appears as though only one coat of flat paint was applied and it comes off VERY easily!
I bought a new-construction home from F&F in April 2021. I loved it right from the start...X-for one BIG problem, a persistent “dripping” noise coming through the HVAC vents whenever the heat cycled off. F&F threw everything they had at the problem and more, repeatedly trying to identify the source and a fix…but 2.5 years later, the problem remained.
