My brother-in-law had told me of what a great experience he had, as he just had his first visit, so I made an appointment. I’ve had periodontal issues for years, and recently my dentist in my previous city of Raleigh told me I needed a tooth pulled. After taking x-rays and an examination Dr. Lessmann told me “you don’t need that tooth pulled”! You have no idea how happy that made me. “I desperately needed a dentist here in Cape. I was having horrible pain with a tooth. They got me in within a short period of time. When I say I’m scared of the dentist, I mean it. I walked in not knowing what to expect. The lobby is nice and inviting. The lady at the desk was really nice. I got called back and on the screen in the room it said welcome Michelle, it made me feel more at ease. They took the X-rays and gave me my options. I chose the root canal and they did it THAT DAY!! Dr Shipley is really nice and personable. And he really made sure I was numb. I was so scared I’d feel pain. He asked how I was intermittently. The procedure was nearly painless. And before I knew it it was over. I didn’t need nitrous or twilight sedation I was fine! This whole experience helped me face my fears. 5 hours out there’s little discomfort. And if you work at St Francis they’re in our network!! Another plus. I found my new dentist and thank God I did and am so glad.
