“St. Louis is lucky...there many pediatricians options available. Both my children are blessed & lucky to have Dr. Carolyn Smith & the entire team at Esse Health Pediatrics taking care of their health needs. Let me be honest, we didn't start with Dr. Smith or Esse Health Pediatrics, we were "transplants." We actually started our kids with the my Pediatrician, who was a pillar in the community, very well known & a 1000% incredible doctor however it was inevitable he was going to retire soon. He groomed a replacement & early on things were great however as the office transitioned we felt things had changed & disconnected. The thought of changing Pediatricians was like ripping a band-aid off with the scab attached but we felt it was the best option for our kids. In leading up to the change I reached out to many parents looking for referrals & 7 out of 10 recommended Esse Health Pediatrics. Like a nerd, I immediately began research on the practice. The original doctor we wanted was no longer accepting new patients however we were informed Dr. Smith was new to the office & was. We made the initial appointment & I went back to nerd things and researched Dr. Smith. Let me tell you, I was super pumped the day of our initial appointment because I probably knew more about Dr. Smith & I was thrilled my children would have the opportunity to be under her care. Dr. Smith is more than intelligent, she is a caring & compassionate Doctor who takes the necessary time to get to know your children & truly cares about them. She understands how to communicate with kids, regardless of their age or sex. Believe me, that ain't easy. She's open, honest & detailed. Additionally if my kids are sick & Dr. Smith isn't available or is booked up, the team at Esse Health Pediatrics will do everything possible to accommodate us with another Dr. in the office. There is nothing more important to me than my children & therefore I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Carolyn Smith & Esse Health Pediatrics”
