I was a patient in their Transitional Care Unit following surgery. The facility is older & could use a facelift but it was clean. The care I received was wonderful. The nurses, aides & assistants were professional, caring & attentive. They understand you’re not feeling well & may be in pain, & they do their best to make you comfortable & to tend to your needs. Even the housekeeping & lab staff are mindful of your situation & are polite when entering your room. My only complaint was with the food. Typical care facility food with little or no choices; wasn’t very good; & it always arrived cold. I realize that may be the norm in these facilities, but maybe expand the offerings for TCU patients. Overall, I would recommend Southview Acres, at least for transitional care.
