Amy has been cutting and coloring my hair since 2002 after I saw a super cute cut a co-worker got. She does precision cutting and has a great eye for color. I am constantly complimented on my color and the styling is so easy for even a novice like me due to the cut. I drive an hour to get to her and even though I primarily live abroad, I don't let anyone else touch my hair.
Had Pride work on a remodel of our home on Bone Lake. Was incredibly impresses with the level of detail exhibited by every member of the team. They reworked the main living space, bathrooms, kitchen and the floors. Fit and finish were fantastic! Even saw them pull out something they had started because they felt there was a better to execute it. This was the 5th house we have remodeled and Pride is as good as anyone we have ever use. That is coming from someone that is more than a little OCD.

A new doctor is in town. Dr Krista Steffenhagen has taken over the practice. We first encountered Dr Steffenhagen, when we had to take one of our dogs to North Branch for emergency care. We were glad to see her energetic smile when we went to our regular clinic. Dr Steffenhagen is great with the dogs and has wonderful bedside manner. I am glad to see the small town clinic will continue to give personalized service to the wonderful community of Scandia.
This place is great! It was easy to make an appointment, I got scheduled conveniently without the 3 month wait my normal dental office said was available. If I had a question or concern, they are easy to contact. Staff is great! Super friendly! I highly recommend this dental office. This is my new dental office and I am making it my permanent one.
They came out on an emergency basis and fixed my furnace... much appreciated. The cost was lower than their competitor's non- emergency rate. I highly recommend! I had made an appointment with Centraire before calling Scandia but Centraire couldn't come for 4 days without an emergency surcharge. I forgot to cancel so Centraire still charged me for a regular visit but that cost $65 more than Scandia's emergency charge. Pass on Centraire and use Scandia.
I cannot recommend Denise and her Hansen Kennels training facility highly enough. She is an absolute gem in the dog training world. From behavior modification to obedience training, sport work, detection work and beyond, Denise’s expertise covers it all. She is one of the few people in the world I trust wholeheartedly to send my dogs for boarding/training, knowing they’ll receive the best care possible.
Growing up with a father who was a breeder and trainer of champion sporting dogs, I vetted a number of trainers and training facilities carefully before selecting Hansen Kennels. Denise has an incredible gift for working with dogs. She is patient, knowledgeable, and has a deep understanding of canine behavior. Whether it’s refining a dog’s obedience or pushing them to excel in more specialized areas, Denise approaches each training session with a level of care and precision that you don’t see every day. She’s truly passionate about the work she does, and it shows in the results.
Her facility is top-notch as well. It’s clean, well-maintained, and features 15 acres with walking trails. The kennels are safe, comfortable, and spacious at 6x10. Water is available in multiple areas, including a 50 gallon water truck on the training field, to ensure the dogs are always hydrated. And, Denise is sure to remind us often, while training, to water our dogs. It’s clear that Denise puts a great deal of thought and effort into the environment she’s created for the dogs.
Denise’s commitment to responsible breeding practices is another reason why I trust her so much. What’s more, Denise goes above and beyond, even working with rescue organization dogs to provide training, vetting and care before they find their forever home. The dogs she works with are truly lucky to have her guidance.
For me, we wouldn’t trust anyone else, knowing we have Denise. Denise’s facility and services are second to none, and I can confidently say she is a true leader in the dog training world. We have boarded and trained our dogs with her. They come back home happy, relaxed, and behaving even better than before. The next time they see Denise for training, they act like she’s a long-lost friend that they are so excited to see again and again. Seeing both our dogs reactions to her, shows us how much they love and respect her. She will teach you how to get the same results. Denise doesn’t just help owners train their dogs – she helps them build a lifelong bond with them.
