I would just like to give a huge shout out to the VEIT Crew! My sister and I found ourselves stranded on the side of I94 going westbound to Oconomowoc Saturday morning. We were on our way to a wedding when we suddenly realized I needed to pull over immediately because my car was jerking around from a flat. We pulled off safely and called State Farm right away to send someone out to help with roadside assistance. We were given an estimated 55 minute wait until someone was going to come and help us. Even a State Trooper stopped by and was hesitant to help because of how dangerous it would've been to fix a flat with cars going speeds over 70 mph right next to us. We called the tow company again hoping they could expedite things considering the conditions, but still all we could do was wait. To our surprise not much time had passed until a four-door blue Sedan pulled up in front of us. Thinking it was a little strange this man didn't jump out of a large tow truck like we had expected, we thought maybe the tow company sent someone out in a smaller vehicle to help and get the job done quickly. This man was so sweet, he put his orange vest on and said "just sit back and relax and I'll have your tire changed out in no time". I was so worried this man was going to get hit by on coming cars I couldn't keep my eyes off of him while he was out in the rain putting my spare on. I told my sister whether it's his job or not we need to tip this man because he is literally putting his life on the line to help us. When all was said and done I tried to give him the money. He refused and said "the best thing you can do is give the VEIT crew a shout out online". He had seen us from the other side of the highway and quickly turned around to come help. He continued "this is what the VEIT crew does in the spirit of the holidays". Shocked that this man helped us from the kindness of his heart, and in fact wasn't part of the tow company at all, my sister and I drove off and promised him we'd make a post! So the VEIT crew strikes again! Thank you so much for all you do! And we hope to pass on the kindness you showed us. Happy Holidays!
