These guys are great. Great clips has an hour wait, at both of them, and yet I go here and I get right in. Same prices, much better service. Right down the road. The person cutting the hair was friendly, engaging, skilled, and did a great job. If I had known about these guys I would've been coming here for a year instead of going to great clips to be treated like a second-class citizen.

Ask for Alexis! She did a fantastic job cutting my family's hair. My boyfriend was ecstatic about how well she did his fade, and I really like the color and cut she gave me. The salon was diligent about sanitizing and spacing customers, and everyone wore masks. It was a great experience.

I haven't been there for over year, but this review is based on 20 years of trying so hard to love this salon and then wishing I hadn't bothered to go back. I use Aveda exclusively and love their stuff, so I've returned to this salon more times than I can count because I would just LOVE to have a good local Aveda option. And I always leave again for any number of reasons and wonder what I was thinking. The first "minus" is that they do not participate in Pure Privilege, which is absurd for an exclusively Aveda salon. They have their own knock-off program with punch cards. So I just don't buy anything there and place my product orders online, which is annoying. More than once I've sworn them off because the receptionist was rude and condescending. Other times, because the stylists just sit and gossip loudly with each other as if you aren't even there while they work on your hair. Once I left because I asked for subtle highlights, the stylist spent the whole appointment talking about how she felt "off" because she was tired... and I left with half-inch wide stripes in my hair. There are frequently unruly kids running all over the place that they all just ignore - which does not make for a relaxing salon/spa environment. Last time I was there for nails, they allowed a client to bring her dog (it was NOT a service dog, just a beloved pet) in to the salon and set it loose in there for the duration of her appointment. It ran all over, got fur all over my purse which was sitting on the floor beside me, and had at least one accident on the floor before the receptionist took it outside for a walk. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. That was the last straw. The idea that any salon could be that completely unsanitary in addition to being so hit-and-miss with their service was just too much. The second star is only there because I've also had a handful of good experiences there periodically over the years too. It's a shame those experiences were offset by so many negatives.
