We worked with McDonald Remodeling on a project to convert our existing living room into a home library full of built-ins, sliding ladder, piano nook, window seats, and storage for our vinyl record collection. We had many special requests and our designer Emily was able to combine them all into a beautiful and functional room which has become our favorite room in the house. McDonald was very upfront with their pricing and timeline and there were no surprises along the way. It was a joy to watch the progress and see the design come to life. McDonald was professional to work with and produced a great finished product. We would absolutely hire them again for a remodeling project in the future.
We LOVED McDonald Remodeling for so many reasons. 1. Stayed on schedule. Our whole-house reno took seven weeks (it is a very small house) and we moved back in the day they said we would be able to. They were never off more than a day and when they were, they caught up on the weekend. 2. Quality. It’s second to none. There is nothing that was done half way. Every inch of our home feels like brand new, when not every inch was replaced (i.e. doors, door knobs, wood paneling). 3. Communication. They were SO communicative throughout the entire process. Our project manager was AWESOME—friendly, patient, kind, knowledgeable. McDonald was not the least expensive—in fact, I think they were the most. But they also did the most and the results are perfect. We knew this was our forever home (my childhood home), so we invested in them. And the return on our investment was about 150% in terms of home value. The appraiser commented on the quality of their work. It was honestly a dream process and I would 100% choose them again.
