I live more than 4 hours away, and I make sure to stop at Mill City Sound whenever I visit the Twin Cities. If I have time for only one record store, this is it. Great record store. Great people. Thousands of used records in great condition, including more of the old soul and R&B records I collect than any store I've visited in the upper Midwest. Also new records and audio gear if that's what you seek. Highly recommended.

Great organized selection of albums. Also very good prices on stand alone turntables and speakers. Went in for an album and walked out with a turntable, speakers and an album. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

This place is what a record store should be. Great music was playing. The employees were friendly and engaging. I would recommend this store to anyone who wants the finest vinyl and a huge variety at really reasonable prices. I found two amazing albums by the Wallets. Their first EP sealed in the package since 1983 and I took it home and released it. Thanks for being there and having such amazing store music.
