I retired, moved from the big cities of the east and bought a 17 acre horse farm in Kentucky. I put up a 50'x60' hangar for a workshop and a place to build an airplane. I purchased a Schweiss door. It is a 35' wide strap lift. The door is a masterful work of honest simplicity at its best. That means reliability. My Mennonite friends like to watch the door rise. When they see it they look at me and smile. I am' 75 years old now. I like to raise the door when I work on a project. I can see the pasture, horses, and wildlife. What a wonderful feeling. By the way, the plane turned out wonderfully.
