Based on the reviews, Midwest GunDog Kennels provides boarding, field work, and reinforcement training. The trainer is very experienced, knowledgeable, and patient, doing an awesome job taking care of dogs. He worked hard with a very shy dog, making sure the dog was comfortable every step of the way, and was successful in the field. One very stubborn dog was trained and did things the owner did not know she was capable of. Tom knows how to train dogs and then teach people how to continue the training at home so the dog does not settle back into old habits. The results have been extremely happy, and the business is highly recommended.
We definitely recommend Tom and Midwest Gundog Kennels - he has done what seems like magic for our GSP. Where Blu used to be unmanageable, Tom trained Blu to be listen and respond to commands in a way this dog has NEVER done before. We already have the kennel booked for both of our vacations planned for this year and we plan to keep in touch with Tom to keep up on this training. This has been an amazing experience and I’m so glad my husband found this place! I can not recommend this kennel enough - Tom is fantastic and goes above and beyond.
