I play a lot of golf. This was my first time playing Southern Hills. The conditions were 3.5/5 stars. Some tee boxes were not great but the fairways and greens were in good shape. It's a very walkable course so I would give that 5/5 stars. I like natural beauty so the fact that there are no houses on the course is great. The layout has many fairways right next to each other so there are some holes where other people are hitting into your fairway but that was not horrible. I think it's overpriced, though at $73 all-in (walking). My biggest issue was having to wait approximately 4 minutes on nearly every tee box.
