“We've been working with Heartwood Construction for about four years now. When we purchased our house it was in foreclosure status and a ton of work was needed to make it a comfortable home. Heartwood was not only very accommodating to our requests, but they also gave proper suggestions when it was very evident that I barely knew anything about construction. Apparently, there were many small DIY "projects" that the previous owner decided to take on that were clearly "learning through doing".Throughout the years, Heartwood Construction has:- Removed a sliding glass door (that was installed by cutting into the header beam, causing the roof to bow and a fight just to open the door) and replaced it with two large egress windows along with the rest of the wall and repaired the header- Installed T&G wooden siding on the wall surrounding the egress windows- Replaced all of the plumbing with PEX tubing, prevents pipes from freezing- Spray-foamed insulation the crawlspace, additionally prevents frozen pipes- Removed or arranged the removal of various small structures and large items that were abandoned in our woods before we moved in.- Replaced the air conditioner unit and fixed the central air system- Installed a window frame and found and fixed a major leak in the roof when doing so, no problems since- Installed an ADA compliant ramp and large deck on the front of the house- Arranged plumbers to replace the toilets and a couple faucets- Arranged electricians to make sure all of the outlets are grounded- Installed brand new siding, which included moving the entire back deck and replaced any rotten wood from said deck- Arranged the installation of a home standby generator- A bunch of other things I'm probably forgettingWe've been extremely satisfied with all of Heartwood Construction's hard work and professional expertise. Lonny Anderson is very knowledgeable about his trade and will not hesitate to give you an honest and thorough assessment. He's also quite skilled at seeing what the client has envisioned through the scope of practicality first, then aesthetic. When we've had some pressing matters, Lonny came to the house to assess and got one of his workers to fix the issue within a few hours of discovering the initial problem.I've also hired him to help out my dad with several plumbing/electrician jobs, and requests their aide at the first sign of potential home repair.The staff that works under Lonny are also very courteous and accommodating to the clients and their schedules. Working both inside and outside of the house, they do their best to not be a nuisance to the clients and their neighbors.As far as general pricing goes, they are fair and reasonable for the amount of high-quality work that you can look forward to. You get what you pay for. Since we bought the place in 2018, our property value has almost tripled in value from Heartwood's work, upon general assessment.We have several more projects lined up with them for the next couple of years and will continue to promote them in passing conversation. If anyone needs work done around their house, from small but difficult things to large projects with multiple parts, I highly suggest Heartwood Construction as their go-to.“

“We have used BWB twice for remodeling projects - one for finishing/remodeling our walk-up attic and the other for rebuilding a rotting porch/patio overhang. With a 110 year old house, creativity is important and being able to blend old and new. BWB worked with us in meeting our budget, updating and finishing the attic space (with significant improvement in energy efficiency from foam insulation), and then building a new porch overhang to include a stainless grilling counter prep area. They are friendly, high quality, and trustworthy. “Our first experience with Diser Construction was when we had a plumbing emergency that required tearing out the dining room ceiling to get at the plumbing. The plumbing company we worked with contracted with Diser to do that part of the job. We were impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and care of our house during a very messy job. They handled the challenges of working with an older house very well and our new ceiling and ceiling fan are far nicer than what we had before.Later we decided to replace our sagging concrete and enclosed side porch (our main entrance to our house) with a deck and lean to roof, and have our outside and screen doors replaced. Though we shopped around a little, Diser was the most reasonable and responsive company (which is impressive during the Covid pandemic with all the challenges of labor and parts shortages) and we knew we were going to go with them. We are extremely pleased with the work they did. Our new porch is amazing and very well built, far beyond what I had envisioned. They also fixed the siding on our house around the open style porch area and made it seamless and match with the house, and they replaced part of our warped and cracked sidewalk leading up to the porch and smoothed it out. They did all this work in a very timely and professional manner, and always consulted with us before making any changes or additions, including giving us a variety of affordable options.
