For context, I have known I have severe scoliosis since I was 14 years old. I’m 43 and I am worried about how bad my back hurts on a constant basis. I had been to a chiropractor a few times as a teenager but haven’t been as an adult.
Every year I look for new technology at the state fair inside the grand sand that might help alleviate some of my back pain. Thankfully, I ran into a group of chiropractors and was able to buy a coupon for x-rays and consultation with Dr. Ian. I briefly explained that I have severe scoliosis and was hesitant to start treatment because I was afraid of how I would feel.
I went for the first appointment, and Dr. Ian explained all the different images he was taking, and after each x-ray, he pulled me over to review what he saw. The next time I came in, he had a treatment plan ready for me. It was very eye-opening to see just how bad my back really is from an anatomy standpoint. No, there is nothing that can be done about my curve and twist, but Dr. Ian gave me a lot of hope that we can alleviate some of the pain that I am feeling on a regular basis with chiropractic care. He also showed me my upper neck can be corrected by exercises and of course the adjustments.
I don’t have health insurance, so I was worried that this would be far too much money, but I was very surprised to see that I can afford this treatment. I have been coming for a couple of weeks now and haven’t had a migraine, The pain in my back is less, and I can feel my neck getting stronger.
Dr. Ian and Shari are incredibly friendly and very accommodating. My whole experience has been wonderful so far and I’m looking forward to how I feel in three months, six months, 12 months!
If you are like me and have a really bad back, you are in excellent hands with Ian. He’s so very thorough and explains everything you could want to know about your spine and when he asks you how you’re feeling, he really listens and helps you understand how chiropractic care can help. I am so grateful that I found him at the state fair and will be a long time patient!!!!
