I just want to say thank you!!! We have been searching for a specific tree to honor my grandpa at his funeral. It is the off season so no one in my town had it, but Landsburg did! They went and found exactly what we wanted. I appreciate it more than they know!
People in several states have taken their state to court and made the state change their dictates regarding limiting people in regards to COVID - I really appreciate Landsburg's stance on allowing us the freedom to not wear masks - it's an option. Landsburg has very friendly staff and healthy robust plants, it's where I go to get my plants but go with caution - - it is all about the sale. I have always gotten my soil tested through the U of M, when I discovered Landsburg did testing I decided to try them. my Nitrogen was low Phosphorous moderate and pot ash medium. they recommended 5-10-5 fertalizer. per their test this did not make sense the nitrogen should have been the highest number so I took another sample and sent it to the U of M. the phosphorous was the same as it has been in previous tests +100 ppm, according to their scale 25 ppm was extremely high. their recommendation was 15-0-10 which made sense, i really should not be increasing my phosphorous. I felt Lansburg just wanted to sell me a product and was not helping me to care for my garden. When I started looking for roses to plant I noticed several of the rose plants at Landsburg were only good to zone 5. Landsburg is in zone 3 - the nearest zone 5 is 4 hours south at the Iowa border. I accidentally picked a lavender plant when I thought it was rosemary, when I got it home i noticed the mistake and looked at the tag which stated zone 5. It's all about the sale, they will sell you anything without warning, you have to pay attention to what you are purchasing. I suppose there are plants that are only good to zone 5 that people can put into a pot and bring inside but I do not see anyone growing a rose bush or lavender inside.
