Firesign Family Farm is more than just a hard to come by place to source raw milk — it’s a farm truly special farm that values hard work, transparency, community and education. Ruth loves her land and her animals through and through and everything she does on the farm is done with much care, integrity, and intention. She genuinely cares for the families that she serves. Ruth is a wealth of knowledge (I’m talking about the stuff you can’t just find in a text book) and offers several hands on learning opportunities and each experience has been incredibly informative and empowering. If you never have the opportunity to visit her farm in person, you can still have the opportunity to learn from her here on Facebook by following her page. Her daily posts are something to look forward to and will not only offer you a glimpse of farm life, but some humor too. I highly recommend this farm to anyone looking to learn real, practical skills and support ethical farming.
I have been with the farm for about two years now and LOVE feeling reconnected with nature in this way! From the moment I pull in the long road into this peaceful place, I can feel the relaxed exhale of breath because Im touching the part of myself that wishes for this back to the basics life. Ruth is a wonderful salt of the earth woman, and I enjoy her candor, knowledge and wisdom with all the questions I throw at her. Oh, and the fresh milk is AMAZING
