Earlier this year, at the age of 38, I woke up to right arm weakness and the inability to raise or move my arm for most activities. I tried home remedies for a couple weeks, and then went to see a physician. After a neuro exam, MRI, and EEG I was diagnosed with cervical canal stenosis (pinched nerve) and was told they needed to operate SOON in order to have a chance at regaining my nerve sensation and muscle function in my right arm/shoulder. As a busy working mom of two, surgery was not the option I wanted to hear, however I had also lost the ability to safely pick up my 2 year old with the experienced weakness.
