I highly recommend Brett at Total Performance Physical Therapy.
He is extremely knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, and really has a passion for helping people.
One of the qualities that really stands out to me, is how down to earth he is, and easy to talk to. That quality is what gave me the confidence to push myself in the gym, and be able to do things I didn’t think I would be able to do.
I was middle aged, newer to training, and also had a past injury to take into consideration. Learning new things and recovering from an injury can feel complicated and frustrating at times, but Brett is able to break everything down so it is easy to understand. He really takes the time to listen, and make his clients feel comfortable.
My experience working with Brett was top notch, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to do so!

My 82- year-old mother was hospitalized for pneumonia and then spent time in a rehab facility. When she returned home, she was weak and unsteady (even after receiving in-home physical and occupational therapy.) We were referred to Total Performance where Lindsay quickly put a plan together that helped my mom regain her strength and balance in a short period of time. After the first session, my mom even said, “I really like her,” and felt confident that she could return to her normal activities like daily walks, gardening, and day-to-day tasks.
We truly cannot thank Lindsay enough and are grateful for her expertise, patience, and kindness.
Lindsay Butterfield was my Physical Therapist in NYC for 6 months prior to her relocating back to Michigan at the beginning of the year. Having used several different therapists in NY over the years Lindsay is without question the most outstanding physical therapist I’ve ever had!
She not only knew right away what caused the debilitating pain that a prior physical therapist had misdiagnosed and made much worse but with her comprehensive plan and new set of targeted exercises the pain subsided and has never returned!
In addition to being an amazing physical therapist she’s outgoing funny and so sweet and I looked forward to every session with her! Lindsay leaving… read full review
