Pricier than some of the stores that succumbed to the virus, but very fast, very friendly and very professional service. A bit longer drive from my house but I will definitely be returning. Again, very nice service!

SANITARY SAVED THE DAY!!! My husband forgot to pick up his clothes before flying out super early for a business meeting. They met him after hours and saved the day! Great customer service!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In 1921, Clyde Fetters founded Sanitary Cleaners in its current location in downtown St. Joseph on State Street. After WW1, Clyde ventured to Wyoming where he learned the dry cleaning business from a tailor shop owner. He brought his knowledge back to Southwest Michigan and opened Sanitary Cleaners in a building that once housed a bicycle shop. The company grew rapidly in the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s under the leadership of Clyde’s sons, John and Gene by emphasizing exceptional quality and service and expanding locations. Today the company is now a third-generation business led by John’s son, Jeff Fetters, and is without question Southwest Michigan’s leader in dry cleaning.
