Mid Michigan K9 Academy boarded my dog for the week. I have a dog with separation anxiety induced aggression and the staff and kennel managed, handled and boarded my dog very well. I highly recommend.
I first heard about Mid-Michigan K9 academy through a facebook ad and finally decided to give them a try after I seen they had just opened a new facility in Troy and wasn't to far from my home. I have a stubborn/anxious 2.5 year old husky that has never really had the right discipline and structure that he needs (needed) and here they did just that for me I cannot mention enough how Satisfied I am with the one week method and it really worked he definitely needs some more time but wow he came a long way in just 7 days, definitely recommend to anyone who has a husky and gets frustrated sometimes like I did myself. When our two 20 month old dogs started to try to set their pecking order, we reached out to Mid Michigan K-9 Academy for training and behavior management. After meeting with the experienced staff, choice to select K-9 Academy was easy. The facility cleanliness, training methods, and daily videos showing the progress were also key in our decision. We elected to do the three week boot camp. Our dogs had never been away from us or our pet sitter so we were concerned on how our dogs would react to being separated from us. The videos that the trainers made and sent us quickly showed us we had nothing to worry about. Our dogs were in capable, caring hands. One aspect we liked was K9 uses many trainers so that the dogs learn Humans and not one person, are in charge. As the weeks progressed we witnessed through the 2 to 3 videos per dog per day, the change from headstrong dogs to well behaved companions. We never witnessed any trainer mistreat our dogs or any other dog and it was very apparent the trainers loved dogs. We would highly recommended K-9 Academy to anyone with dogs whether they are seeking assistance to resolve a problem or for basic training.
