Paul photographed our large family group for our reunion. We have a family reunion every year in different states across the US, so for the past decade we've used ten different photographers. Paul was one of our favorites. He worked well with the children, easing them into natural smiles rather than working them up into ridiculous faces or leaving them in awkward poses. He also had creative ideas about new positions and poses for the family. We had twelve children (ages twelve to four) and nine adults, and he managed all of the different poses and groupings very well. Since none of us were from the area, we depended on him to suggest a good photo location, and his recommendation was perfect. He arrived on time. He had excellent quality photographic equipment, and he edited and delivered our digital photos promptly. I was very impressed by his professionalism during the shoot, his responsiveness by email prior to the shoot, and his interactions with the family members of all ages. I definitely recommend Paul Retherford as a photographer, and if we have our reunion in the Boyne area again, we would certainly hire him again.
Paul was an awesome photographer as well as a genuinely nice person. Our wedding was on Mackinaw Island the first weekend they opened this year and with all the uncertainties related to Covid, Paul was right by our side. He was very knowledgeable on the best photo ops for us as we walked our way across the island. We couldn’t be more happy with our photos! The candid shots as well as the posed ones captured how incredibly happy we were that day. We can’t thank Paul enough!
