Since beginning this project August 18, 2021, we are finally mostly completed with this company. Although the staff is overall kind, helpful, and apologetic for their employer, the leadership is severely lacking. We were promised 3 weeks to add a small basement bathroom. Over 6 months later, we have a bathroom, but it was the most painful process. The only thing constant was errors and miscommunication. They showed up late, if at all. "Emergencies" regularly pulled them from our job, but without us being informed. Our home was damaged, things had to be done 2, 3, 8 times to get it right. We had to repair plumbing in a different area of our home from their carelessness, deep clean concrete dust from the whole house from their lack of containment and drilling 8 corrections (our child has asthma and became quite ill), remove and reinstall a flooring threshold, and order many new fixtures (broken sink, broken toilet, broken vent fan and lost parts). We had to beg them to remove red paint stains from our carpet, fill a large hole drilled in our foundation unnecessarily, repair holes mistakingly placed in our siding, remove their construction trash (one large piece still remains), route the vent fan outdoors instead of into upper floor heating, attach the shower door track, and on... Dealing with the owner became very uncomfortable. I have compared experiences with other past customers, to find he accuses everyone of similar things while bullying, making excuses, and cowardly trying to send his employees to fix his errors. Two employees were fired at my home on separate occasions. One died tragically a week later. He blamed the man's death for no one showing up to work for the two weeks prior! The other was fired after he claimed to involve authorities in the owner's poor professional practices. Later, the owner claimed he was fired because he was being investigated in masters that do not allow him to be near children. Even if true, this bathroom was being installed in my child's bedroom, and he was knowingly sent to my home. If you are looking for the least professional owner, employees treated poorly, additional expenses added to your invoice, failing code inspections, mistakes that ruin your property, and a job that takes over 8 times longer than promised-this is your guy. However, I would advise you steer clear and at least call LARA first, as they are also investigating this company regarding licensing regulation.
