Tame Tangles by Tolson, owned by Nikki Tolson, offers personalized haircuts, lived-in blonding services, and refining lash treatments. With nearly a decade of cosmetology experience, Nikki is described as an amazing hair stylist, extremely talented, and an absolute gem of a human. She is superior at her craft, giving the perfect cut and color every time. Clients feel beautiful in her chair, with a bonus massage during shampooing. Nikki has fixed hair ruined by someone else, making clients too embarrassed to leave the house feel amazing. She does everything from light to dark, exceeding wonderful, and shows she truly cares for her profession. One client received perfect highlights in red hair that blended nicely, and the styling afterwards was loved. Nikki is the absolute best, the QUEEN of hair, and by far the favorite hairstylist in the area. She makes clients feel so special and beautiful, leaving them feeling refreshed, radiant, and truly valued.
I came in with a total hair disaster from a previous color and she straight up saved me. The transformation was insane. She didn’t just “fix” it — she elevated it. The color is bold, dimensional, and somehow still looks healthy.
And the cut? Hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had. It moves, it frames my face perfectly, and it actually feels like me.
Her space has that cool, edgy vibe without trying too hard, and she’s seriously the sweetest real, honest, and insanely talented. You can tell she knows exactly what she’s doing.

Nikki is the QUEEN of hair! I was devastated when we moved. Nikki is not only extremely talented she is an absolute gem of a human! Every time I sat in her chair she always gave me the perfect cut and color. EVERY 👏🏻 TIME 👏🏻 She is superior at her craft. You will never regret putting your hair in her hands!
Nikki is an amazing hair stylist. She’s very skilled, her work is beautiful. Bonus: the massage you get when she is shampooing your hair! When you’re in her chair she makes sure you feel beautiful and if you’re anything like me- thats not something you feel very often when you’re literally running ragged! LOVE Nikki! 🥰🥰
