Having trouble deciding between Mortar or Silicone? Mortar built windows have been extensively tested by the manufacturer and approved for high force winds, water and air penetration. Mortar glass block windows are also very secure. Most architectural codes and designs call for the use of Mortar. Mortar built windows will not mold inside: they are completely filled from front to back, and can in theory, last a life time. Down River Glass Block also provides custom glass block installation, from bathrooms, shower units, walls & windows, to custom built walls.
