Lovely gallery and the owner is so incredibly kind. We wondered in, always curious about this gallery. She explained the Raku pottery process and I fell in love with this piece pictured. She also gave us tips on places to visit and Lakenland, an amazing sculpture park! Love this gallery, the history of Raku we learned about. I’m looking forward to coming back!
We too stumbled across this pottery shop. Enjoyed talking with the artist and learning about their firing techniques. Brought home a couple of youper light rocks also. Have traveled extensively and have never seen pottery like this. It’s definitely worthy of a stop. Our piece is a treasured item from our recent trip.
We stumbled upon this studio while leaving Presque Isle Park. They have some beautiful pieces of pottery done in a unique style called Raku firing. The lady working was very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. She gave us the history of their pottery and how it’s done. I ended up buying a piece made by her son that I really liked.
