Spent a wonderful early Oct. weekend at the Lilac Tree recently (repeat customer). Staff, Desk and Cleaning, did a wonderful job as usual. Our room was clean, well supplied, and comfortable. The Lilac is centrally located for ease of access to everything on Mackinac. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was outstanding, allowing you to see all the activity on the water and street below. I have stayed at a half dozen hotels on Mackinac and this is at the top of the list. Highly recommended!
Four friends came for a conference. The suite had a coffee bar/ wet bar area that included a microwave and a good-sized refrigerator. It was a beautiful room with a lakeview. It even had a small balcony overlooking the main street. The service was excellent. The staff is friendly and accommodating.Nearby activities: On the main street. Great for walking the downtown area.Safety: Felt very safe.Walkability: We walked to the Grand for a conference. It's within easy walking distance.

The manager went above and beyond to return/mail sunglasses to my friend that she left at a local restaurant. The elevators require you to scan your key card to get to your floor. We walked to the small grocery store down the street to buy breakfast items.Safety: Elevator...read full review
