I brought in my daughter for a filling today. She is on the spectrum and was absolutely terrified. Kelsi was so helpful and caring. She talked to my daughter about her favorite music and really put her at ease. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful staff! Everyone has been so understanding and helpful regarding my daughter and her special needs. We were never made to feel like we were a bother, or something to be embarrassed of. We have gone to many places where they just don't care to understand people who are neurodiverse. Dr. Schlueter is very understanding and patient. He treated my daughter with respect and that was amazing! Mel was very sweet and explained everything to my daughter. She let us have the extra time we needed and even brought in a finger fidget toy! I was so impressed by all of the sweet and caring staff. My daughter wants me to mention that Kelsi is awesome, and she'll keep her posted about the Linkin Park concert lol. Thank you all so much for making a very stressful time, much easier!
Yesterday was my very first visit to Lakewinds Dental Centre. A dental “emergency” popped up and I was really hoping they could fix my little problem. I didn’t have my own dentist and hadn’t seen a dentist in several years. They were able to see me within a day which really made me happy! From my first phone call with Britney to schedule my appointment to the end of my visit, I was so very pleased with the entire staff! Britney was so pleasant and personable! Her bright personality soon alleviated any fears or concerns I had. And she was the one who greeted me upon my arrival for my appointment. Such a bright ray of sunshine! Britney even took me for a tour of the office and gave me a very nice gift for being a first time patient! No one ever gives gifts like that anymore! Then, Rylyn came to get me for my appointment. She, too, was so very sweet and personable! She took the time and care to listen to my dental issues and concerns. She definitely made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Schlueter then joined us and he was very professional, personable and took so much time to listen to my concerns and issues that you would have thought I was his only patient for the day! He did an evaluation and came up with a very well planned, extensive plan for my dental issues and concerns. He explained everything very thoroughly, eased so many of my concerns and answered all my questions. And most importantly, he was able to fix my dental “emergency”, the initial reason I made the appointment. Finally, Sophie came in and did a very thorough exam of my teeth and came up with a plan for cleaning and future care. They even put me on a cancellation list to get me in quicker for my next visit and as luck would have it my next visit is in four days!!! I am going to recommend them to my husband to have him change his current dentist to Lakewinds Dental Centre. The office is located in a beautiful part of Ludington with very easy access and parking. The office itself is very pretty, warm and welcoming. I would strongly recommend this practice to anyone, whether you already have a dentist or not! They are all so professional, personable and very welcoming. Thank you to the entire staff for your wonderful service to our community!
