I’ve been to several eye 👁 doctors over the course of 6 years and gone through a mass array of prescriptions, diagnosis and suggestions for improving my vision. I suffer from vertigo, severe headaches, eye strain and muscle pain and a multitude of issues related to my vision being poor. Dr. Smith put me in the proper prescription and I can’t believe that for all these years I didn’t see this clearly; I honestly didn’t know I wasn’t seeing things like other people. Upon my neurologist advise, I’m also starting vision therapy with Suburban Eye Care as well. The Staff at Suburban is incredibly knowledge, immensely empathic and for the first time, I have been told that I’m in the right place and my symptoms and experience are something they deal with often. When I came to Suburban Eye Care in June 2020, my symptoms were so bad that I was super anxious and felt like my quality of life was non existent. I was constantly dizzy, nauseous, has daily headaches, couldn’t drive or ride in a car without getting car sick, couldn’t use a computer without getting nauseas, had a constant feeling of “rocking on a boat”, bumping into things, got headaches while reading, and the list goes on. I was put into Prism glasses to help the symptoms, but ultimately realized that I was going to need vision therapy. I was very skeptical that it would help me, and I talked to Amanda multiple times and she reassured me that I was making the right decision. I’ve been in vision therapy for 6 months and EVERY ONE of my symptoms is gone. I’ve come to realize that my stress was making things worse, and Amanda also helped me see that I DO have control over my vision even though I felt like I didn’t. She was extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with. I highly recommend this program. It changed my life and gave me my life back!!!
