I contacted Pete Black on the recommendation of a coworker when I needed the sewer pipe replaced when I purchased a house. Originally, they were going to go through the basement floor, but discovered asbestos tile, so they routed it along a wall in the basement instead. This part went well, and I am satisfied. Work on the pipe was completed approximately 9/8/22. It has been two months (today is 11/11/22), and I still don't have a sidewalk, and my walkway is half gone. The yard is dirt because I was told not to plant grass seed since they'd be out to do the cement. I reached out several times, sometimes I'd get a reply; sometimes not. I made the mistake of paying in full when they were done with the sewer pipe - not the cement. Trick or treaters were tripping in a hole in the grass between the missing sidewalk and the street. NOW there apparently is a cement shortage (two months after the work), so who knows if this will be done before winter. I have no way of recouping this because I made the mistake of paying in full, so there is no reason for them to come out. Very dissatisfied. The photo is from 9/8/22. Found Pete Black plumbing based on Angi, call them and they said they would be out the next day - great, such service. They were there at the appointed time and date and looked at my leaking shower - "no problem, just need to order a part and when it comes in we will call you" That was mid November. Couple of weeks later - call about the part - "still not in, don't worry we will call you" Couple of weeks later - "the person who orders isn't here, she will call you back" No callback -January 4th - "sorry someone will call you in the morning about the part" Next morning no call back - "Just talked to the manager - someone forgot to order your part but we don't work on that brand any more, call someone else" Good news, never paid them anything, bad news is i've wasted two months of a leaky shower. Never again

I had a water emergency this morning and I started calling around. Pete Black was the only one willing to make time. Greg showed up a couple hours later and did a wonderful job. He explained the issue, talked to me about why he was going to take a particular approach and even fixed a couple of things that were getting worn. The job was finished quickly and they didn't poach me given my emergency situation. The rate was fair and I am very happy with the whole experience. I have a new plumber.
