This review is for Doyle Homes, who built a beautiful home for us in 2023-24. My wife and I have built every home we’ve lived in since the mid 1990s, both new construction and major remodeling. We built as owner/builder, and we both are knowledgeable and fairly demanding as far as home building is concerned. At the time of construction, we were living 2000 miles away, and I was still working. We knew we would have to use a full service contractor. We traveled to Livingston County several times looking at lots and interviewing builders. We narrowed it down to two builders, whose resumes were very similar as far as backgrounds and experience. After great consideration, we chose Jeff Doyle and his team. We felt comfortable with his builds, and his bid was competitively priced. From the start, through design changes and upgrades, the permitting process, it all was very seamless. The communication with the multiple governmental agencies involved with the permits was made much smoother thanks to Kim and Christina with Doyle homes. Once we broke ground, we were able to travel to the home about every six weeks. With my experience of being daily hands-on with our prior homes, that seemed like an eternity! We had great communication through texts, emails, phone calls and video conferences between visits. During the site visits, our time was greatly maximized by having subs available, by having materials suppliers lined out, and being able to interact with the right people. Our time back in Livingston County was very well spent. The quality of the build is second to none. As a very picky builder myself, I couldn’t have improved on the build. Many of their subcontractors have been with Doyle Homes for over 20 years. They do a great job for Doyle and Doyle treats them with respect. It’s a very successful relationship between the general contractor and subcontractors that isn’t found often in residential construction. Overall, my wife and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Jeff Doyle, Kim Veenstra, and superintendent Jeff Fisher were great to work with. They are dedicated to their clients, are consummate professionals, and were a pleasure to be around. They build a fantastic home, on time and on budget, and provide a lot of value for the cost. I cannot recommend them enough. Feel free to message me for further details.
Doyle Homes did a major addition to our house (removed the roof and added another floor) and we couldn't be happier. From the initial visit with Jeff to the final walk through with him, it was amazing. They went above and beyond what we asked for, worked with us through every step, allowed us to change or add along the way, kept our existing house remarkably clean and protected and made us proud of our house. I cannot recommend Jeff and his team enough.
