Papa VanSyckle's Barber Shop is a nice small-town barber owned and operated by a young man that wears a bow tie. The haircuts are top notch and professional, with fantastic expertise. He is a great guy who provides excellent service, making clients feel comfortable and explaining everything as he goes. He cuts hair exactly how it is asked, handling everything from a child's first haircut to more specific styles like a high tight. The price point is very reasonable and excellent. Customers are quite pleased and highly recommend him to anyone in the greater Grand Ledge area, noting they have never been disappointed. This is the kind of place people love to support.
Just visited Papa VanSyckle’s. It was the best haircut I’ve had in a long while. Papa listened while I explained my hair dilemma. He provided some great feedback and is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, Papa didn’t have any glue to paste some of my hair back onto my “cul-de-sac.” Can’t hold that against him. That’s more of a me problem. Anyway, I’m definitely going back. Great price and great haircut!
Great, fast haircut at a great price. Got a skin fade in less than 30 minutes. Papa V offers military discounts on Mondays so it was only $18.
First professional haircut
After a short lifetime of family cutting my hair or self cuts (I'm a sheep shearer so for shorter less styled cuts tend to diy), tried Papa VanSyckle's and was quite pleased with his expertise and of course the price point is excellent as well! I have a couple of odd patches of hair that don't match the rest that he has been able to seamlessly integrate into the cut with both longer and shorter styles, definitely give him a try if you're in the greater Grand Ledge area!
