Evergreen Cemetery

I and my husband have family members in Evergreen and my 27 year old daughter wants to purchase a few lots for her family. This cemetery is very well kept and maintained. We visit often and love that you’re allowed to plant behind your headstone. Trying to look up the history. There is a public Vault dated 1888 and much older stones. So very beautiful and busy!

Evergreen Cemetery is a nice place for eternal resting. The cemetery is well kept and mowed. However, there are several trees that look like they need to be manicured - particularly in the older section. If a high wind comes through I suspect they will fall over. It seems like there are always pine cones down that are not picked up and the trash in the cans are never totally emptied. I noticed a ton of trash in the trash cans during the Memorial Day. Several of the headstones need to be repositioned to be straighter as they are tilting or going to fall over. It is probably from the ground receding. The cemetery closes at dusk and seems to be well patrolled.

This is a fine timeless classy graveyard. My family stone is here where a loved ones remains were buried. I come here regularly to water plantings I have put by the headstone. But unfortunately, it seems grounds crews are known to run over with their lawn mowers the watering containers we bring to use for watering plants and flowers we have planted to respect our passed loved ones. Please stop running over and destroying our watering containers! Gees!
