Dr Kevin Lodewyk is the preeminent doctor and OPTHAMOLOGIST! In a complete year, this incredible and amazing surgeon has given me my beautiful, crisp, and definitely clearer sight back! Within the last total year, he has removed my 2 cataracts and performed laser eye surgery to eradicate all the black floaters in both my eyes! Dr Kevin Lodewyk is a " miracle worker" --for over 20 years, I always wondered why my sight was like having a milky-white cloud over both my eyes; I thought that was the way my vision would always be. Dr Kevin Lodewyk told me otherwise. As in the 1968 film, with Sidney Poitier in the film, "To Sir, With Love," the theme song, sung by LuLu, she sings to him about how's he's taken her from "crayons to oerfune," --using this analogy, Dr Kevin Lodewyk has done the exact same thing with reference to the incredible care he's taken such wonderful care of my eyes. Also, as with the opening shot of "The Sound of Music," where Julie Andrews is at the very top of an Austrian mountain top, (by the way, I was on that exact spot when I backpacked throughout Europe in 1987 for 3 months by myself), singing, twirling and extolling how " the hills are alive with the sound of music," I will forever be like Julie Andrews singing the incredible praises of Dr Kevin Lodewyk, singing and twirling and everything else! Dr Kevin Lodewyk is an incredibly warm, inviting, caring physician and not only about the care of my eyes; he's always interested in my personal life and really inquires how I am other than the status of my sight. He always greets me with a bright, wonderful smile and firm handshake. He always points out the colorful bow ties and funky socks he's wearing each time we meet; this not only amuses me, but, definitely, reminds me of my 31 y ears of teaching elementary school--3rd grade--and 12 years as a college professor; I always wore very interesting ties and bow ties and socks too because I always wanted to instill in my children the love of curiosity ❤️ Dr Kevin Lodewyk, as B.J. Thomas sung, ".. what a difference you've made in my life...", this is very much true in relation directly to you! (By the way, Ronnie Milsap also covered this song and took it to #1 not only on the Billboard Country chart but also on the Billboard HOT 100 too!) Dr Kevin Lodewyk is a pure joy to be with and his willingness to outwardly show this to me is pure magic! Dr Kevin Lodewyk, just saying "Thank you" doesn't seem quite adequate--you've changed my world forever! I definitely look forward to our next encounter. By the way, I am very sorry it has taken me so very long to post this review but life has been extremely chaotic, busy and exhausting for me. The last appointment with Dr Kevin Lodewyk was February 20, 2026. Also, thank you all to the wonderful staff at the Gaylord office; your kindness and attentiveness has not gone unnoticed.
