All of the staff that I’ve met have been great. Dr. Koan is very thorough, and everyone is kind and empathetic. I would recommend this place to anyone, but especially rat owners, as it can be difficult to find a knowledgeable vet for small animals. They also neutered my dog, and it went very well.
We've had 5 dogs as Riverside's patients over the past 25+ years. A rescued basset, a rescued schnoodle, & 3 corgis. They all had excellent care for routine needs to emergencies to, eventually, helping them cross the Rainbow Bridge. ALL staff members are hardworking, kind, helpful & knowledgeable. Recommended wholeheartedly.
I will always cherish the extraordinary care our beloved Flushing Township Police K9, Colt, received from Riverside Animal Hospital throughout his life. From the time Colt was just eight weeks old until his final breath more than ten years later, he was treated with the utmost compassion, first from the late Dr. Brown and then from Dr. Koan. Veterinary Assistant Katie Brown, along with the entire staff, were truly remarkable.
