Saugapaws Dog Resort - Dog Training and Boarding

I am so thankful that I found Saugapaws to help my Australian cattle dog mix. When I adopted Thorne as a puppy from a rescue, I thought he was a smaller calmer breed. He is an incredibly smart and sweet dog, but he can be challenging.

From the beginning, Saugapaws came up with a plan to give Thorne the confidence and socialization he needs. Some of the initial plans changed as they got to know him better. Their philosophy is to always listen to what the dog is telling them and understand that behavior modification isn’t a straight line.

I trusted them at our first meeting, and I have not been disappointed. Thorne has made great progress.

The facilities at Saugapaws is topnotch. I could not recommend them more highly for training and boarding.

We were extremely anxious to board our pup Rocky during our Wedding weekend, but any anxieties immediately flew out the window from the moment we stepped onto the Saugapaws property. It became immediately clear that this was not just your average boarding facility, it was a safe haven for dogs, and Colleen and Elizabeth made us feel secure in our decision every step of the way. Boarding my dog at Saugapaws was a great experience! Colleen and Elizabeth were great at communication before and during my dogs stay! They helped her feel comfortable and loved while she was there! I got a lot of updates and photos from them through my dogs stay which was awesome!
