Clare Animal Hospital

We were at our cottage when our dog, Bella, had a severe hemorrhage from a laceration to her tongue. Our only option was to take her to Clare Animal Hospital since it was the closest facility to us. We are so glad we did. We had never been there before, but they took us right in. They quickly took us into an examination room where Dr. Gaw did a quick examination. He then took her into their surgical area, gave her sedation and sutured her tongue to stop the excessive bleeding. We then drove home to Rochester to monitor Bella’s recovery. We have been going for a while. We have two dogs. There are several things over the past couple years to prompt us to say it's time to go. One is if you need to get in same day even if they have an opening you pay for an urgent visit, which is $100. No vet on call ever. No vet on Fridays. My one dog was brought in for nail trim they sedated him. He didn't need that, we take him to a groomer and he does fine. He doesn't love it but she's done in 3 mins. No complaints about the staff overall, the techs were very nice, Dr Arsy is great, basic care was sufficient. Just don't feel confident in the office anymore.

Wonderful and thoughtful staff, they truly care about animals, and I couldn’t ask for better medical care for my dog. They knew my dog by name, and helped me with any medical concerns I had for my little pup.
