My son has a gaming pc that was bogging down and dropping frames. It was taken to a computer shop in another town. That shop quoted a certain amount and then took a week and a half to diagnose and "fix the issue" once fixed they wanted almost 2.5x the quoted amount. (But hadn't actually replaced any parts on the system) negotiated back down to the original fee plus an additional $10. The system was 100% the same and not actually fixed Now the rave part ;) I spoke with David Jarvis at Straits Area Computer and after speaking with my son briefly regarding the issues he was experiencing he had us bring in the unit. Not only does he offer FREE inspection/diagnosis, but he got my sons pc on the desk and had it diagnosed within 10 minutes and we brought it in JUST before closing. This was a simple fix and David fixed the issue and tested it for 2 hours under a load and it tested fine. He had us come pick it up and out of genuine kindness charged us nothing for this service since my son was ripped off by another company. I HIGHLY recommend David and his business Straits area Computer for all of your computer tech needs. He is knowledgeable, fast, efficient, kind, and actually stands behind his work! We picked the unit up yesterday afternoon and he sent me a message this morning asking how it was working and again reiterated to bring it back should we notice any other issues. I am happy to report that all is well in the gaming world again 😂 and the pc is working top notch. Thank you David for your SPEEDY resolution to our issue and for your KINDNESS and GENEROSITY
