Matt was not only very knowledgeable, but personable and a realist! Stephanie was our trainer and she was fantastic. Stephanie understood what we were looking for, explained the routine we needed to get on and listened to our concerns. I learned so much about my dogs and myself throughout dealing with AWE! After 2 lessons, my dogs were behaving better and actually listening. I feel more confident with my dogs and their abilities with on leash and off leash commands. 10/10 highly recommend if you want quality training. AWE has changed my dogs life for the better. AWE has helped me develop the tools to be able to go out in public. Cannot say enough good things about Matt and Candice. Matt was a miracle worker with her. Great communication, easy to work with, friendly, and mostly importantly, an amazing dog trainer. People are amazed at the night and day difference in our dog after going through Matt’s program.
We truly can’t say enough good things about Matt. He completely changed our relationship with our 2-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Otis, for the better. We’ve always had an amazing dog, but once our newborn entered our lives, we realized we needed help with structure, obedience, and especially leash manners. Things that once felt manageable suddenly felt overwhelming when juggling a baby and a large, strong dog. In just six lessons, Otis became a new dog—one who listens to us, follows directions, and most importantly, one we fully trust again. He’s back to being the wonderful, loving companion we’ve always known, just with the structure and consistency we needed. One of the biggest changes has been on walks. I can now confidently and safely walk Otis alongside a stroller in busy, crowded areas and know he will listen and stay in control. That peace of mind is priceless. Matt’s approach is clear, practical, and incredibly effective. We’re so grateful for the transformation—not just in Otis, but in our day-to-day life as a family. Highly, highly recommend!!
Kalesi, my 4 year old Aussie mix just completed her 3 week board and train and WOW what a difference!! I know we (her and I) still have more work to do but I cannot say enough about the experience and difference in her. She is an extremely anxious dog and very reactive to the point of aggression with our other dog. Hardly would listen to my commands and now there is much more structure and obedience from her. She seems much more calmer too. Matt suggested King Kanine oil (Tuckers Gold) and it appears to be working awesomely. We’ve tried everything before, chews, doggy Prozac, etc and nothing seemed to work like this. Great recommendation from a trusted trainer! Matt and his wife Candice are totally professional and know what they are doing. I’ll admit I was worried she would fail and I was nervous about her being crated but it turns out she loves her new safe space! Another great training recommendation. What I love about choosing them as our trainer is that I have a connection for life. It doesn’t stop after the board and train. I get 4 more in home training sessions and follow up phone and text advice when I need it whenever I need it. I wish them all the best in their new home in SC! Great job and I thank you so much!
Matt and Candace are both great at what they do. They’re both very educated and very experienced in Dog Training. I just ordered the leash that Matt recommended and it honestly is a game changer with walking my dogs.
