Southkent Veterinary Hospitals is a local veterinary clinic that has received mixed reviews from its patients. While some customers praise the facility's caring staff and prompt treatment, others express disappointment with the clinic's increased focus on financial policies rather than animal care.
The clinic is commended for its attentive approach, as evidenced by a customer who appreciated the thorough examination, clear cost estimates, and compassionate handling of their dog's surgery. Customers also highlight the convenience of the clinic's location within the Caledonia community. The staff are very caring, and they have taken exceptional care of pets over the years. The clinic is also known for being gentle and thorough, especially with older animals, and they try to get pet owners in quickly even when busy. The technician and staff, including Dr. Huffman, are praised for their professionalism and kindness, with one customer mentioning that Emily even helped get their dog to the car.
However, some long-term customers have noticed a shift in the clinic's priorities, feeling that the emphasis is now more on revenue than on the well-being of the animals. Concerns have been raised about the requirement to leave a deposit on a credit card to secure an appointment, which may exclude pet owners without access to such payment methods.
Overall, Southkent Veterinary Hospitals seems to provide a mixed experience, with both positive and negative reviews reflecting the clinic's strengths and challenges in balancing quality animal care with financial considerations.

They have extremely reasonable pricing and will not try to sell you something that you do not actually need. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. No long waits to get your pet the care they need. Called yesterday and had an appointment set for 10am this morning. Thank you SouthKent!
I am so grateful the South Kent.Had to lay my boy down and they took him in right away and made his passing easier. The kindness from all the staff during and after has been wonderful. Thank you all .Diane
I've been going to South Kent with my cat George for approximately the last 3 years. They are always very friendly with me and my kitty. I feel Dr Burns did a very thorough check on George today. Did some lab work rabies shot and trimmed the nails on his back feet. I really like this place and the people in it. Makes you feel good about taking your pet to the doctor.
