I hired Harold to do my 2021 tax return. He completed all the documents, although he did spell my name and address incorrectly despite me telling him he had spelled my name wrong on official tax documents. He accidentally put on my city return that I was a resident of Lansing. This caused me to not receive a refund I was supposed to get. We all make mistakes and Harold offered to fix it for me. It had been months without any refund, so I asked him what was going on and he said he would not be able to track it for me. So I called the city of Lansing and was told a return had never been submitted me for that year at all. I had an easy tax return to complete, so I regret just not doing it myself.
