I brought my dog to Woodland as a new patient after receiving a recommendation from a friend. My 2 year old dog had a very concerning growth on her shoulder that was getting larger over a period of 6 months. The staff got me in within a few days and Dr. Botsford took care of it immediately, same day. I was so relieved as I was told by my previous vet that my dog would need surgery including anesthesia. Dr. Botsford and his staff were very thorough going over my dogs medical history and made sure I didn't have any questions before I left. They also followed up with me the next day. He engaged MSU veterinarian school when stumped! When the resistant parasites, didn’t respond to usual treatment.
They came up with with a special individualized cocktail, which finally did work!
I had to put down my very beloved rescued 17 year old cat recently. I still cry about!
His kindness in that process, saying it’s time to let him go, I will never forget! I needed him to say it’s ok!

We have been going to Woodland Animal Hospital since moving to Brighton 11 years ago.
Our pets have always felt at ease being seen. They certainly know how to handle animals with much compassion.
