Studio A Birmingham

I was part of one of the teams at this studio when I was in late elementary school. It is true that there is a lot of nepotism and it is more likely for your child to get special treatment if you're friends with the owner or instructors. One particular memory of not being allowed to have a food/water break during a 4-5 hour rehearsal comes to mind, all whilst the coach sat there eating in front of us. Overall was an extremely unwelcoming environment that has had a lasting impact on my life.

Studio A has been my home since the second I walked through the door. The sweaty rehearsals, sore muscles, competitions, company parties, and parade days never get old. No matter how old or talented you are at Studio A, you are family with no if’s or but’s. The passion and commitment from the teachers radiates directly to the students. The girls I have met at Studio A have not only become my best friends, but my family.
