My dog was having sudden difficulty with his breathing, limping, and losing weight. Dr. Schinsky immediately suspected Blastomycosis, a life threatening fungal infection. I have read that many dogs die within the first 2 weeks of diagnosis and many are misdiagnosed for cancer delaying beneficial treatment. With her knowledge and prompt testing and on going long term treatment, my dog is alive and well. The staff are all wonderful as well. I could tell they love their job. A very welcoming place.
I can not begin to give enough praise to Riversbend and their staff! We have always been able to get worked in if a quick appointment was needed and even then staff ALWAYS took whatever time was needed to make sure the appointment was thorough and that we left with no questions. The Scotts are amazing and have never left me feeling uncomfortable or unsupported being the owner and breeder of a brachycephalic breed, which we unfortunately found in so many other places. If they don’t have specific expertise or equipment they know where to find it and are not afraid to make a referral.
