Without a doubt pricey. But exceptional. I especially like the classic design approach but on an outstanding level of quality that I haven't seen before. Tools that will you make happy for a lifetime. And if you take care of it, your children as well.

I have few tools of Lie-Nielsen, all of excellent quality; quite rare when most tools are produced in China, India or Mexico ...I had recently some issue with a plane. I called the company and a very nice man instructed me to send back the tool. A week later I received a new plane. My impression is of a company with a very friendly and dedicated people who produce excellent products made in the US; what can one expect more of a company?Highly recommended.

The planes that I purchased are the best planes that I have ever owned. They are stars in my toolbox and I will never be without them. I don’t only recommend them, I highly recommend that in order to avoid frustration, avoid the big box stores standard planes and buy Lie-Nielsen. You will never be disappointed with a plane again.
