Interesting your review was not about treatment but rather about scheduling during a pandemic. Dentistry is one of the high risks professions during a pandemic that is highly communicable and transmitted via saliva. Most of the treatments a dentist preforms atomize saliva. Because of this the provider needs to wear a N95 mask, gowns, and face shield. I have been a patient in this practice and only have glowing reviews.

Love this practice. Everyone who works there is super friendly and kind. I have seen both hygienists Jill and Ashley and they are fantastic. Always take the time to explain what they are doing and why it is important for my tooth care. Dr. Rockwood is patient, gentle and caring and her work is top notch. Tracy at the front desk always has a smile for you. I highly recommend you give them a call.

Recently moved to Old Orchard Beach and was in need of a dentist for general dentistry. Contacted Island Pointe and made an appointment. The day of my appointment they called and cancelled my 9:00 am and moved to 1:00 pm. I went to the later appointment and was satisfied with treatment. Made an appointment for my next cleaning and sure enough, they called at 8:15 and canceled my 9:00 am appointment and wanted to reschedule. I refused a new appointment, I will now search for a new dentist that I can trust to be there for my appointments. I find this to be poor business practices and does not rate further appointments.
