“As a Chinese-American bride, it was important for me to have an Asian HMU artist who understood how to work with my skin and hair. And as someone who doesn't wear makeup often, I wanted to look like and feel like myself on my wedding day so it was important for me to have a HMU artist who can achieve that.

Kong was the perfect HMU artist, going above and beyond. She truly listened to what I wanted, while still providing her professional expertise (which is what I needed as someone who is indecisive and inexperienced). By the end of my trial, I knew I had picked the right person and felt complete confidence in her work. On my wedding day, I looked and felt both beautiful and myself. And my bridal party looked just as good.

However, beyond just doing a great job on our hair and makeup, what I appreciated most is the energy that Kong brought. She is hilarious, honest and fun. She took the time to connect with me and I felt not only trust in her as a HMU artist, but as a person.

In my opinion, wedding planning can be stressful and overwhelming, so surrounding yourself with good, supportive people throughout the process / on the day of can really make a difference. I'm so grateful I got to have Kong on my team.“

“I absolutely loved my nails! I believe the owner’s name is Andrew, and he does amazing work. The rest of the staff are great as well, and I have no complaints about the quality. My only concern is the pricing. I’ve been there twice since moving to the area, and I always get an extra-short set. The first time I paid $60, but this time I was charged $75 for the same length. I also noticed other clients with longer nails and additional designs paying the same price. It didn’t seem fair that I was charged the same as someone getting a medium or longer set with extra nail art. The work is amazing, but the pricing feels inconsistent and a bit too expensive. I wish they had a clearer and more consistent price list.“
