5 stars!! If you are a typical homeowner looking for contractors to get work done in this day and age, you know that it is difficult (at best!) to even get a phone call back. Let alone find a trustworthy, hardworking, reliable professional who will get the work done exactly as they proposed (or better!), for exactly the quoted price (with full & honest transparency!) and will do the work exactly when they say they will! And then you try to find a real review that you can rely on to validate that work. Troy and his team of professionals are exactly the contractor that you want. My wife and I are in the midst of renovating a 1901 New Englander just outside Farmington, and we definitely needed a new roof. We checked out a few local recommendations suggested by neighbors, as well as our own web and Facebook research……..with not great results to say the least. We met Troy through his passion for solar installation, and had him take a look at our roof and do a quote for us on a full replacement for the complete roof (not Solar……….yet!) and it was the best possible decision we could have made. His quote was thorough, complete, competitive and 100% transparent. His team of pros showed up exactly when he said they’d be here. He was here every day to make sure things were going well, and pitched in with his son to help cleanup at the end of each day. He let us know immediately when his team ran into obstacles (which happen on every jobsite) and he gave us clear options on how to overcome them. The jobsite was extremely well organized, protective of our property, with a friendly respectful crew (who were on-site from early in the morning until you couldn’t see in the dusk) who were efficient and productive. They left our yard around the house completely clean at the end of each work day, and when the project was completed…….you would never have know they were here! Other than the fact that we now have a beautiful new roof with architectural shingles - which had been stripped completely down to boards, new decking, new snow & ice shield, new drip edging, new chimney flashing, fully reinstalled gutter system, etc., etc.. We have told Troy not to hesitate to use us as a reference - we will happily let other prospective customers know just how our process went, and the outstanding results. The highest recommendation I can make for any contractor is to say that I would not hesitate to have them do work for my mom, even if I was not around - Troy is that guy! Don’t hesitate even a second - if Troy has availability and can fit in your project, book him immediately (and thank me later!). You’ll be glad you did! Rich Ruhlin
