“Estate taxes can be complex, confusing, and frustrating for those already grieving the loss of a loved one. After calling many tax professionals in the Portland area about my estate tax questions, several stated they did not provide estate tax services or wanted to charge me thousands of dollars upfront without even hearing the amount of income my estate generated (which is partly related to the complexity of the tax return).
