We were referred to the Desmond Funeral Homes when our mother died and we were very happy with the personal service, the professional attitude, and the ways in which they made the process of managing a sad time better. They picked up her body exactly on time, they supported my mother's wish for a simple, green burial, and they made the choices easy for us with no upselling pressure. It was even nice to have their smoothly competent help as the pallbearers did their job at the grave site. Their assistance in placing the death notices was invaluable. If we face such a difficult time again, we will be seeking their help again.

I am not sure how the Bath funeral home is, but I can tell you that I was less than impressed with the funeral home staff in the Brunswick location. My family was there for the passing of a family member. Upon entering the funeral home for the wake, the staff member was located in her office the entire time on Facebook rather than holding the door or assisting the customer. At 7PM exactly she came out of her office and proceeded to grab the urn like a football and walk off. We still had 25 guests or so at the service. My wife was extremely upset at not getting to say goodbye personally to her family member. The staff member's excuse was that she had to be back... read full review
