I spend summers in Boothbay Harbor so I needed to find a reasonably priced place to get my hair cut. I called several salons but either the prices were beyond my budget or it they didn't have appointments available when I could go. I decided to give Heidi's Hair Design a try. Let me say up front that Heidi's salon is at her home so if that is a turn-off for you, go elsewhere. However, you enter directly into her salon from the driveway so you won't be traipsing through her house saying hello to a husband, dogs, etc. on the way. Also, the space is actually a salon; it doesn't feel like you are in someone's home. It is really easy to get an appointment with Heidi so if you are on vacation and only have a couple of days available you will most likely be in luck. We've all had the experience of describing to the stylist the cut we want and ending up with something totally different. I always feel like Heidi really listens and then gets it right. My daughter started going to Heidi a couple of years ago as well and has been happy.
